The Next Step programme supports initiatives of nonprofits, social institutions and civic groups aimed at raising quality of life of senior people both at grassroots and at the national level.
In order to achieve this we provide various types of funding which is basically structured in two kinds of grants:
- Mini-grants to grassroot organizations and civic groups that are distributed through open requests for proposals (RFPs). The RFPs and grant distribution are processed by selected regional partners in 5 priority regions – St.Petersburg, Karelia Republic, Arkhangelsk, Leningrad and Ivanovo oblasts.
- Grants to expert organizations working with the elderly. The scope of supported activities ranges from educational and research projects to the development of innovations and replication of best practices in welfare and social assistance. The grants are provided through the process of inviting ideas and letters of intent by the Foundation’s programme officers.
