Russian cinema and theatre stars to join discussion Age as an Art

26 September the Volkhonka Mansion will host a public discussion titled Age as an Art as part of a special project of the 5th Society for All Ages National Conference with organizational support from the Artiste foundation for the support of arts figures. The keynote addresses at the event will be delivered by Russian cinema and theatre stars: Yury Solomin, People's Artiste of the RSFSR and USSR, Valentina Talyzina, People's Artiste of the RSFSR, Svetlana Svetlichnaya, Meritorious Artiste of the RSFSR, and Vsevolod Shilovsky, People's Artiste of the RSFSR.

The myths become an insurmountable barrier: they give a tunnel vision of an active senior lifestyle and make it difficult to see the glamour of the silver age, forcing the view that the life of those who are on the wrong side of … can no longer shine with new colours.

How to break stereotypes and turn age into an advantage? How to remain active in one's professional and social life? Answers to these questions will be given in the course of the Age as an Art public discussion.

Special guests at the event, big names in Russian cinema and theatre such as Yury Solomin, Valentina Talyzina, Svetlana Svetlichnaya and Vsevolod Shilovsky, will address, among other things, the following questions:
In what ways must society change in order to break the stereotypes of the third age? How to popularize the subject of active senior lifestyle?
How to realize oneself in one's professional and social life?
What knowledge that comes with experience to share with the younger generation? What is the best way for the elderly to communicate with the young?
How do arts people feel their age and make plans for their future in this context?
How exactly do wisdom, experience and knowledge that come with age help one in one's work in the world of theatre and cinema?
How will theatre and cinema change in the next 15 to 20 years, given that increasing life expectancy raises the ratio of senior citizens?

The event is sponsored by the Charitable Foundation of Elena and Gennady Timchenko, Raiffeisenbank, the Volkhonka Mansion and Gett,
