“Sports for All is the slogan of the Good Ice project, which is in sync with the competition's mission,” says Igor Baradachov, deputy CEO and head of the Sports programme at the Timchenko Foundation, describing the competition. Focusing on Russian provinces, we can see that backyard, amateur hockey is going through a rough patch, and we would like to help those who are willing to work with children, train, engage and motivate them. This year we are paying special attention to those projects that are designed to encourage children to take up hockey and to focus on children whose families are having a hard time. We believe that sports are an effective tool for improving the quality of life and developing useful habits, skills and abilities in children.

The deadline for competition entries is 5 pm (Moscow time) 30 April 2018.

Minimum funding per project is 1,500,000 roubles. Each entity may submit one entry only. The Foundation has sponsored 64 projects as part of its Good Ice programme over five years.
