Rowing competition among students to be held at Krylatskoe

On October 4 – 8 Russian National Rowing Competition for Students will be held at the Krylatskoe Rowing Canal in Moscow. The fourth stage of the Student Rowing League will be organized within the framework of this Russian National Competition. 50 colleges from 18 Russian cities will send 32 eights to compete in the classical Olympic 2000-meter race. A team from Transnistria will participate in this event.

The following scull types will appear in the competition: W1x, W2-, W2x, LW1x, LW2x, LM1x, LM2x, M1x, M2-, M2x, M4-, M8+.
Preliminary and elimination runs of the student eights will be held on October 6, and teams will compete in semifinal and final runs on October 7. This will be the final stage for the teams in the current open-water season.


This event was organized by the Student Rowing League, the Rowing Federation of Russia, and the Russian National Student Union, with the support of The Timchenko Foundation. The Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation is the partner of the competition.
The event is also sponsored by the Gaprombank.
Honored guests of the competition will be, as follows: three-time Olympic champion, world champion, European champion, multiple champion of the USSR, Merited Master of Sport of the USSR Vyacheslav Ivanov; Olympic champion, European champion, Merited Master of Sport of the USSR, President of the Rowing Federation of Russia Aleksey Svirin; chairman of the supervisory board, Minister of Justice Aleksandr Konovalov.
