Given the potential risks for placees and the uncertain situation, the Foundation moves the scheduled summer placements to the autumn. This decision affects the following categories: Network Initiatives and Cultural Internship. Placement applications can be submitted between 8 and 30 August 2020. The compilation of the Calendar of the community’s professional events has been pushed back to mid-August.

The deadline for Region Plus group placement applications is 16 April. The placement will take place between 23 and 28 September in the Kenozero national park — a cultural and natural site on the federal and global level.

The programme focuses on:

  • cultural landscape management;
  • policies, methods and procedures for interfacing with the locals: promotion of project culture and self-organization options (local councils);
  • promotion of rural tourism and local small businesses.

The Best Local Practices placement hosting is pushed back to round two of the programme. Cultural organizations are living through a period of active search for a new language and formats for interfacing with their audiences, learning new acculturation-related practices and seeking sustainability mechanism. This gives rise to new sociocultural technologies sought after by the community. The Best Local Practices competition will identify and present the best practices in crisis management by cultural tools.

The period of the Best Local Practices competition: 6 – 27 July 2020 (inclusive). The competition results will be announced 5 August.

The internship programme of the Charitable Foundation of Elena and Gennady Timchenko is run by the Association of Cultural Managers.
