Good Ice Cup finalists named

The semi-finals are over in the Good Ice Cup all-Russian tournament for 2008-2009 born children’s hockey teams, having taken place in four federal districts: Northwest, Volgian, Far-Eastern and Siberian. All finalists have been named in the tournament that has been held by the Good Ice programme of the Charitable Foundation of Elena and Gennady Timchenko with support from the Russian Ice Hockey Federation since 2016.

The scale of the tournament has doubled in three years. The first Cup was entered by 41 teams from 10 Russian states, and this year the organizers have received entry requests from 90 teams from 17 provinces in this country.

The Good Ice Cup finals will be hosted by Nizhny Novgorod between 2 and 6 December. The title of the champion will be contested by the following teams:

  • Temp, town of Artyom, Primorsky Krai
  • Transbunker, twp. of Vanino, Khabarovsk Krai
  • Severnaya Olimpiya, city of Syktyvkar, Komi Republic
  • Forvard, town of Lodeynoye Pole, Leningrad Oblast
  • Meteor, city of Chita, Zabaykalsky Krai
  • Shakhtyor, city of Neryungri, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)
  • Bor, town of Bor, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast
