Launch of Cultural Mosaic: Affiliate Network competition

Starting 23 September 2020 the Timchenko Foundation invites entries for the competition called «Cultural Mosaic: Affiliate Network» among the winners of the 2019 Cultural Mosaic of Townships and Villages Russian national competition. The competition will be hosted by eight federal districts: NWFD, CFD, YuFO [Southern Federal District (SFD)], SKFO [North Caucasian Federal District (NCFD)], VFD, UFD, SBFD and DFO [Far-Eastern Federal District (FEFD)].

The competition is known as a follow-up to Cultural Mosaic of Towns and Villages and is designed to support the winning entities that successfully implemented their sociocultural projects and are ready to continue growing by accepting greater responsibility for small community development. An essential condition for participation is the availability of partners and 50% project co-financing.

The competition’s priorities are to put in place a functioning affiliate network and to use the facilities of the mature affiliate network to set up sociocultural development centres in towns and villages.

“An induction workshop has already been held for potential participants, giving them an opportunity to sort through this year’s competition’s priorities, get value-based and managerial pointers to grow their projects and affiliate network,” said Yelena Konovalova, manager of the Timchenko Foundation’s Culture programme, in discussing the competition’s news.

Support for the winners will be provided in two stages, with the decision to move to stage two to be made based on the results of stage one and an updated project proposal for the next stage.

Stage one: 1 November 2020 – 31 October 2021.
Stage two: 1 January – 31 December 2022.

Maximum amount of funding sought for each project 1,400,000 roubles.

Entries will be accepted between 23 September and 12 October 2020.
The winners will be named 22 October 2020.
