On 2 October the expert panel of the Immediate Circle competition held a meeting that chose 52 projects as the winners. The total backing will exceed 5,800,000 roubles.
The competition was won by representatives from non-profits, action groups, publicly funded institutions and local councils from 8 federal districts of the Russian Federation.
The competition winners will receive funding to carry on, develop and disseminate their practices among larger groups or in new areas. Sustainable and potentially scalable practices will form the backbone of a system that will link the providers of social and medical care for the elderly.
The Immediate Circle competition is designed to promote and support sustainable social practices in elder care in the family, neighbourhood and local community.
