A meeting between The World of Chess and Good Ice, two areas of focus for the Sports programme of the Timchenko Foundation, took place in Leningrad Oblast.

The Lvov palace, the home of the local administration of Strelna, was visited by the SKA-Strelna team and the Black Berets children’s hockey patriot club for a game of chess against a well-known grandmaster. A multi-board chess game against the children was played by grandmaster Aleksey Lugovoy. The game ended in a draw on one board only, but the grandmaster singled out three players: Kirill Skopich from the Black Berets club and Pyotr Dyagelev and Vladimir Konoiko from SKA-Strelna. All participants received prizes from the Russian Chess Federation, the Good Ice programme and the administration of the Strelna township.
