In 2016-2017, the Focus on the Family competition sponsored 40 projects from 35 provinces whose teams received training in practices for implementing mentoring, in solutions for preventing parents from giving up their biological and foster, in working with families that foster HIV-positive children, and in bringing back together children and their biological families.
Their training completed, the participants put their newly gained expertise to practical use, implementing approaches or solutions.
The organizers believe it important that the best practices in childhood protection be made not only available but also serve as effective tools for professionals and in family life, and facilitate sustainable development and children’s well-being.
The Focus on the Family competition caters to the real needs of professionals. That is why there is no deadline for entries.
Improve the accessibility, availability, accessibility, affordability and quality of professional assistance to families and children in the context of prevention of social orphanhood and the fostering of orphaned and abandoned children in the RF.
