Elena

Elena Petrovna Timchenko, founder

Graduated from the Leningrad Red Banner Mechanical Institute (called BGTU «Voyenmekh» after 1992), specializing in Radioelectronic Devices. Worked as engineer at the Leningrad Institute of Textile and Light Industry.

Involved in charitable work, together with her husband, for over 25 years. Was the head of Neva Foundation which was involved in promoting Russian culture in Europe. Endorsed the creation of Klyuch [Key] Foundation which works in the area of child abandonment prevention. Aiming to consolidate family-related charitable projects, founded, together with her husband, Ladoga Foundation that was renamed as Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation in 2013. Keeps paying special attention to issues of the older generation, child abandonment, and support of cultural events in the regions of Russia.

Mother of three children. Xenia Frank, her daughter, actively participates in the family charity and is chair of the Timchenko Foundation’s supervisory board.

Gennady

Gennady Nikolayevich Timchenko, founder

In 1976 graduated from the Leningrad Mechanical Institute as electrical engineer. His career started in Leningrad, at the Izhorsky Plant. During the 1980s he worked in the government sector in Leningrad Oblast, later got involved in entrepreneurial pursuits in the area of energy business. During the 1990s he participated in creating and developing large logistic and trading companies. Founder and stockholder of Volga Group, an investment company which consolidates investment in more than ten Russian projects.

Gennady Timchenko is President of the SKA ice hockey club, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kontinental Hockey League, and Vice-President of the Russian Olympic Committee. He is a member of the supervisory board of the Russian Hockey Federation and the supervisory board of the Russian Chess Federation. He is also head of the Economic Council of the French-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Russian department of the Russian-Chinese Business Council.

Nina Panchenko  is a member of the Foundation’s Supervisory Board. She is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Klyuch, a charitable foundation from St. Petersburg which helps children and socially vulnerable members of the population. Nina Panchenko graduated with a first class degree in political economy from Leningrad State University (now St. Petersburg State University) and is a qualified auditor. She is currently deputy general manager of a financial company.

Tatyana Dergacheva  is a member of the Foundation’s Supervisory Board. She is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Klyuch, a charitable foundation from St. Petersburg which helps children and socially vulnerable members of the population. Tatyana graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Technology as a mechanical engineer and completed the financial management programme at the St. Petersburg State University of Economy and Finance. Currently, she is the first deputy general manager of a transport and logistics company.
